The Johnstown Public Library Board meets each month. The meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. in the Community Room. Officers for 2011 are:

Friends of the Johnstown Public Library
Public support is key to the success of any library. This is true here in Johnstown. The Friends of the Library work year round to help in a variety of ways such as fundraising, volunteering and networking. If you would like to become a part of this wonderful organization, consider attending their next meeting. The meetings are held the second Monday of the month at 5 p.m. in the library community room. Directions to the Johnstown Public Library
From NYS Thruway Exit 28, turn left onto Riverside Drive, right at Rte 30A/Main Street, cross over the Mohawk River and turn left on Main Street (Rte 5/Rte 30A); go 1/2 mile to and turn right on Rte 30A North. Follow 30A north (approx 4.5 miles) ; turn left onto South Perry Street. Continue for 7 blocks turning left on West Clinton Street. The Library is on the right.
Family Programming
Our weekly Pre-school Storytime program continues to be held each Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. with an encore presentation on Wednesday afternoons at 1:30 p.m. Each week a different theme is highlighted. Stories are read and theme appropriate crafts are created. Gary VanSlyke, local singer, performs for the children on the third Tuesday of each month.
