The July and August discussions are funded through a New York State Council on the Arts (a state agency) Grant. They are sponsored by the Mohawk Valley Library System and participating member libraries.

Programs begin at 10:30 a.m. Books are available at the library. Please call 762-8317 for more information.

Our weekly Pre-school Storytime program continues to be held each Tuesday with an encore presentation on Wednesday. Both sessions begin at 10:30 a.m. Each week a different theme is highlighted. Stories are read and theme appropriate crafts are created.

Your Library

Welcome to the Johnstown Public Library online. We will help you find your favorite book, DVD, magazine, electronic databases for research, and genealogy materials. If not available here, we can request a title for you through our Interlibrary Loan System that includes more than 65 public libraries in the Mohawk Valley-Southern Adirondack Library System, over 50 academic libraries and libraries in 2 other public systems. Included in the cooperative sharing of material is the New York State Library. New additions to our collection include Downloadable Audios and Playaways; both of which help the very active reader. We offer monthly book discussions, storytime for families, genealogy research and both adult and child related programming throughout the year. We also have public meeting rooms available.
